About Me
MY BIO
I started and successfully operated my first business when I was 19. I came to the US from Vietnam in 1993 with my parents, sisters, and a brother as refugees and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Washington in 1998.
After working for an IT consulting firm for 4+ years, I left and founded my second business, an IT consulting firm, specialized in Enterprise Application Integration, and sold it in August 2017.
I am known as an inspirational leader with well-grounded technical skills and a trusted advisor to executives and businesses by providing insights and support in vendor and software selection process, technical resource hiring and team building, product roadmap, business & IT strategies, mentor and coach client team leads and start-ups. I had extensive experience working and leading global teams with insights in remote and offshore development since 2001. Education and experience have helped me develop stellar core competencies.
In Toastmasters, I'm the District 2 Program Quality Director 2019-2020, Past Club Growth Director, Past Division E Director, Past Area 53 Director, Past District 2 Toastmasters Speakers Bureau Chair in Seattle, WA, and Marketing Chair for D2 Toastmasters Spring 2018 Conference. My Toastmasters journey started in 2003 since I served as Club President, VP of Education, VP of PR, contest chair, and chief judge, as well as served as a judge at speech contests. I enjoyed participating in community events, business, and technology conferences in different capacities such as being a keynote speaker, panelist, panel moderator, emcee, co-host/co-chair, and organizer. Click here for a short list of past and current events.
Currently, I am a Sr. Director of Engineering, Cloud Services & Office of the CTO at F5 Networks.
